Hours of educational fun!
I don't often leave reviews but this thoroughly deserves an outstanding review. I bought this for my 5 and 6yr old expecting it to be a bit naff and be discarded after a few minutes. WELL! They have had hours of fun with it, constantly want to get it out to do more experiments and they have both brought it into school for their show and tells which went down very well in class. Some of the science explanation went a bit over their heads but it wouldn't for a child of 8-12yrs who would get equally good use out of it.I've bought 3 more to have as presents! Why excellent value for money!

Great!
My 4 year old loved doing these during the summer holidays when we couldnt get out because of the wet weather. We could do a couple of experiments and then save the rest for other days.We both learned some things along the way too!Great fun for all the family with super easy instructions

Same experiments just slightly different
It's amazing how this company has made a volcano into six or seven different little experiments but they are all the same.If you actually look in the book you will find that there are only five experiments all the others are either variations of this experiment or not an experiment at all.I.e there is a page teaching you how to balance a half empty can of fizzy pop not really an experiment scientific yes but not an experiment.Spend the extra and get a better kit although I have a suspicion that all the science kits like this are going to be the same.

Cheap & cheerful
Great fun present for the price. Hours of entertainment had by all.

lots of fun. needs supervision
We bought this for our 4 yr old Grandaughter who wants to be a scientist (amongst other things) when she grows up! She loved it. Make sure you put it all on a tray to prevent spillages. safety goggles included which made her feel like a real scientist. Needed supervision as she got really enthusiastic with mixing elements. Luckily we have sodium bicarb and citric acid in the cupboard so were able to replenish the pots after each session.
