It works. Saved me from buying a new trimmer.
My charger no longer worked (be careful with these - don't let them fall or hang - the wires get loose). I didn't want to buy a new trimmer. This will hold me over for a while! Shipped quick.

Technically , This Charger Does Not Fit Porter Cable
When I purchased this charger, there was a review or a question/answer that said this fit porter cable batteries so I purchased one at a great price. By the time I received the charger and realized the charger did not fit porter cable batteries, the review/question-answer had been removed. The picture shows why this charger doesn't fit porter cable batteries. I used a drill with a wood bit to remove the plastic tab and it now works perfectly with the porter cable batteries - as pictured.

Works as advertised. Replacement for the one I had that lasted almost 10 years and did alot of charging.
