This is 98% perfect, and the best kettle I've ever owned
The tea is delicious, it tastes clean, the functions work well and it's nice to look at. The beep is a good volume. I've used it for months at this point and I love it so much!Things that would make it better:1. Why doesn't it keep warm at a lower heat setting? The upper ones keep warm nicely.2. The dream version is dishwasher compatible. Some kind of detachable bottom, so the rest could go in? I don't know if anyone is doing that, but if you want me to make the tea in the kettle, it'd be great to wash it with everything else.3. The cord is very short. I know there are safety reasons but I'm pretty sure it's the shortest cord of any of my appliances. I had to use an extension for it. USE A GOOD QUALITY ONE, because this kind of appliance uses a lot of amps!EDIT TO ADD: I had to get assistance from BUYDEEM and they were SO NICE and really helpful. I would add another star but I would need a bigger monitor.

BEST Customer Service - Love EVERYTHING about this tea maker!
I don't typically write reviews, but I wanted to share that this is a FABULOUS tea maker!!! I know it's a little pricier than others, but let me remind you that you get what you pay for folks. This is sleek, sturdy, exemplary craftsmanship, SO easy to use and it's stainless steel so it will always be in style! The water/tea temps heat up quickly AND the bottom of the pot is only warm to the touch - even if it's removed immediately after the water boils at the highest temp (212 degrees). It's not bulky or heavy and the handle is comfortable to hold. And no, I wasn't given anything free or paid to write this review. I am just so thrilled to have this tea pot in my office that I wanted to tell the Amazon :0)Update - 3 months later - I had a malfunction issue with the base of the tea pot and contacted BUYDEEM directly. They responded immediately and helped resolve the issue right away. A replacement part was needed and they shipped it to me the next day. Their customer service was friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. Great product AND great customer service - what's there not to love!!!

Buydeem electric pot
I have had this pot since September, and find it to be an excellent pot I usually use it 3 times per day, and have had no problems with it so far. The infuser they supply with the pot is pretty fine so the only tea that gets through is the fine powder. I had baskets by a company called Finum that are extra fine mesh screen at home already, so for the teas that have some powder, I just strain it again with the Finum basket in the cup. The mesh used by Finum is so fine that not even the powder gets through.I did notice that some reviewers were complaining that the heating plate on the bottom of the pot was not stainless steel and sent photos to show the rust they have on the plate. That is not rust showing in the pictures, it is mineral deposits from the water they are using. I have very hard water in my area, and I am not able to install a water softener. The water filter I have doesn’t filter out minerals, only stuff like lead, chlorine, cysts, etc. so I get the same thing they are showing in the pictures, although in one of the pictures there is so much build up I wouldn’t even drink anything out of that pot until it was cleaned. There are a few thing you can do to clean the pots to make them look like new again. The easiest way is to purchase from Amazon a product called Clean and Revive by Astonish. You just bring a pot of water to near boil, then add a Tbl. Spoon of this stuff and let it sit for a couple of hours, and all of the deposits should disappear. If not, do it again. Another thing you can use is a product called Bon-Ami. It is a super mild cleanser that is basically guaranteed not to scratch it is so mild. It won’t even scratch the glass on products. I have been using this stuff for many years and have never had it scratch anything yet. It is in powder form, like other cleansers, and costs about $2.00 a can. I found out about Bon -Ami from my mother years ago and I always have a can available for delicate cleaning purposes. I use it for everything, especially my electric tabletop oven (glass window included). I wouldn’t recommend it for non stick pans though, because of their special coating, even though I have used it on older pans that were pretty shot, and didn’t notice any additional damage from using it. After you get the pot back to shape and looking like new, I just use a bottle brush and spray in some Dawn spray foam, and any tea residue and mineral deposits are gone. The thing is, is that the pot has to be done regularly every 2 or 3 days with at least the dawn cleaning. That only takes a few minutes. The only reason I gave this pot 4 stars instead of 5 is the manufacturer does not give the 212 degree boil setting any steeping feature other than boil. Most black teas and herbal teas recommend using 212 degree water and steeping it for 5 minutes. The manufacturer does not allow you to customize the steep setting at all. They don’t even have a preset steep function for this setting. On this setting you have to time it yourself. I just don’t understand that if they are going to give this feature to all of the other settings they just don’t include it for the 212 Degree settingI still recommend this pot, though. It is a very good pot at a good price. The glass used is quality glass, and the heating plate really is stainless steel.

Makes a good cup of tea!
This purchase was an upgrade from my electric water kettle. The coffee/tea (or ginseng, fill in the ____) strainer is great!!! The system seems to be working well after 1 month. I love the temperature settings for green tea or even cocoa. (Plus with money saved on buying bulk bagged tea as opposed to packets - it’s paid for itself already!)
