Jasmine, oud & sandalwood is a pleasant scent that fills a room potently like nag champa without being overpowering like patchouli. I like the cotton wick because it doesn’t crackle and I can oscillate my tower fan on low without blowing out the flame. It’s definitely an item that sets the perfect vibe. It was packaged well, without plastic and it arrived in less than a day. It might seem pricey but not when you realize it’s a long lasting, quality candle unlike most candles available today. I have a bergamot & amber en route which was supposed to be a gift. If it smells even half as good as this one, I’m keeping it. Highly recommend!

I have rituals around luxury candles and home scenting. It’s not a cheap ritual but it fills me with joy. Burning $180 candle in one week is a money in the toilet kind of crime. But I’m guilty. These candles have the same composition and scent note quality at a fraction of price. They burn slowly with just the right amount of projection. Not too much. Not too little. I bought 2 Palo Santo and 1 Leather & Oud. Covers 1,500 sq ft. I also use a portable Aroma 360 Santal mister to fill in the square footage, but it’s not near the candles. These workhorses get the job done in their areas. I get my ritual fix more frequently now!! Of course, I still burn through $180 per area feast. But that’s just gluttony.

I love this scent. It is strong even when not biting so it is great for keeping in powder rooms and entryways as a pleasant greeting for guests. Of course when burning the smell is stronger and will fill a room, even our great room with 24’ cathedral ceilings.These are a good price-value balance - not designer prices, but much better than discount /grocery brands that make your house smell like a fake candy factory or something. Scent quality is preferable to yankee candle or B&BW.

I've only recently started buying candles, so there is not too much I can do to analyze individual elements of it.However, what I can say is that the scent is quite powerful! It lasts a long time in the air. For instance, after ~2-3 of burning, the smell will linger for a day or two.My wick has also curled over on itself consistently, and it got hard to light it because the wax would solidify on around part of the wick.

This has a wonderful beautiful fragrance of jasmine and sandalwood. A lot of fragrance for a small candle. However it is very strong, so you may want to watch how long it burns in an area. I love scent, but I lit this as soon as I got it in the early evening and put it in the bathroom and by midnight it was a little strong for me. I will still use it, but only if I can monitor how long. If you have guests, you may want to burn it an hour before they arrive and then put it out. It is a dark glass with a brand label on it, so beauty would be how you display it in a vignette. This melts slowly, is in a mid range price for scented candles and is not heavy to carry.

My candle arrived promptly and was nicely packaged. The fragrance hit and boy did it hit. The scent was overpowering & would be too much for some. Unfortunately, I wasn't loving the scent either, but I wasn't hating it. It was just different than I anticipated and given all the hype about how great it smelled... While I love jasmine & sandalwood I am not that familiar with oud. I recalled it was earthy & I liked it in the couple of blends that it was in, but this was spicy. In fact faint traces of cinnamon kept hitting me. The strong scent took over a large part of the house & that is without burning! The next morning the scent was completely gone. I thought it was nose blindness, but after returning home from quite some time away I was only greeted of faint smells, again the predominant aroma was cinnamon. I quickly put the candle under a candle warmer lamp. Fragrance was being released as & filling the space once again (still not loving it though). It was on the strong side of just right. I was glad it was showing signs of quality. After a few days of burning I noticed I really wasn't enjoying the scent. There was no "mmm" or fresh surprise at the pleasant smell in the home. I then noticed there was a slight burnt smell. That burnt smell continues with each warming, less so with burning. I thought burning the candle must be the magical thing that makes this LuLu candle worth all the praise. Not so much. I then noticed that the candle was not burned evenly. Again, that has never happened with this lamp. Usually quality candles, especially slow burning soy burn beautifully & evenly. The burn was not horribly uneven, quite the opposite, but It wasn't what I expected from this candle either. While a likeable fragrance is subjective I just don't feel that the profile fits what one would expect after reading the scent profile. I have always been a candle person & have went through thousands of them in my life. While this candle is on the better side of average, I did not find that it burned as evenly or slowly as some of my comparable candles, many of them either larger or less expensive in a nice vessel, even at the sale price of $16. As it presents nicely in the package and the design is fitting for male or female this would make for a great last minute host/hostess gift or something to have stashed in the gift closet in case you need a quick gift for someone.
