The Chakra Wisdom Tarot: 78 Cards with Illustrated Guidebook Cards – May 14, 2019

This deck is not typically what I'd buy - I'm not into the Law of Attraction or manifestation theories, and I generally don't like this type of photocollage aesthetic. However, there is something about the book and imagery which has made this deck extraordinarily powerful for working on your own through childhood trauma and CPTSD, especially if your trauma is maternal-oriented.Each card includes leading questions and commentary that are primarily geared toward encouraging you to adjust your outlook and attitude about your own life, which in turn inspires you to be more empathetic toward others and their unique struggles.This deck has been criticized for "lacking diversity," but this isn't a bad thing for its concept and design. The people are intentionally consistently generic, which makes it a lot easier to read in matters involving others. It's distracting to me when a deck includes random and arbitrary diversity. I prefer decks with consistent, coherent imagery across the entire deck, and this one fits my preference very well.The Chakra Wisdom Tarot may not be your jam, especially depending on how seriously you take chakra or tarot theory, and how you approach tarot reading in general. I think it's an excellent option if you're looking to use tarot as a tool for self-therapy rather than divination. Search online for the book and deck so you can preview it before buying.My only real complaint about this deck: the cards are oversized, and I have very small hands. I can't shuffle oversize decks very well at all, and I wish a mini version existed.

I purchased this deck because I thought the illustrations were just beautiful! I'd been looking for a deck that resonated with me and this one seemed to do the trick! I was so happy when I un-boxed them the other day. They are just as vibrant and pretty as shown here.Now, I purchased for Tarot use, not so much for the Chakra references throughout the deck. Once I become more familiar with the cards, I may expand into that. This deck would not be a great deck for a beginning reader, however. I have found that the illustrations in a traditional RW deck will allow the beginner to associate the images of each card with the meaning behind it. The keywords in the accompanying book are pretty compatible with traditional keywords, but the explanations behind each of the cards are suited for the Chakra side of the deck, in my opinion. That's not a bad thing, though. For an experienced reader, these would be great, simply because they are lovely cards and fun to look at.I do agree with some of the other reviewers, though, in that it would be great to have some diversity in the cards. I get that the woman in all of the cards is the Fool, and that different "Fools" in different cards may stray from the original intent. Even so, I really do love this deck, and am looking forward to working with it!

This is the first deck I actually see myself in! I feel seen! I am a beautiful model from Sweden and every card is like another friend of mine!

Even though the imagery isn't all inclusive, the energy is always on point.

The cards were absolutely beautiful I just wish they had other cultures. They only have one race represented. That’s why I gave 4 stars.

And for Tarot nerds and collectors the chakra colored edging on this deck is to die for. This Tarot Deck is for suitable for beginners and seasoned professional readers alike. The set includes an illustrated Guidebook by Tori that is packed with information!If you are already familiar with Tori's Chakra Wisdom Oracle cards, this deck will expand and deepen the work that you could do with the Oracle Cards and is complementary. While it stands on its own, is a bonus if you have both decks to work with.

The media could not be loaded. This deck is a tarot deck not an oracle deck. It has the standard 78 cards with the major and minor arcane.It interweaves the chakras into the cards giving more depth to the reading.The guidebook is very well written and has tons of information on the cards as well as understanding how the chakra system and astrology play into it all.The box is sturdy and able to withstand use. The cards are glossy, sturdy and well made. The artwork is beautiful, although a few remind me of a romance novel cover. Sadly, like many decks there is no diversity in the representations on the cards. They are white hetero female specific.I would say that the deck works well for beginners and would totally recommend it.
