Huge amount of fun, worth every penny!
Super fun build! I'm a seasoned Lego nerd, with an extensive collection built up over the years. This set has convinced me to branch out from my previous Lego purist ways. Is it a shameless rip off? Yes. Does this detract from the joy of assembling it? Absolutely not!! This build kept me entertained across two evenings, totalling about 8-10 hours. The pieces look and feel like 'real' Lego, and even have the satisfying click when put together. The attention to detail is magnificent, the instructions extremely clear and the pieces bagged in order. There were spares of commonly lost small pieces which is helpful. I have already recommended this set to my friends who build and would definitely buy it again as a gift. 10/10!!!

Great build for the price
For the price it’s an amazing build. I have been ripping through £200+ sets for a while so welcomed the slightly more fiddly nature of this set at a faction of the price! Definitely not a first build and I can imagine for children (without adult help) this would be challenging. The instructions were actually very clear however the packets weren’t as nicely bundled as leading brand sets so that add a little bit of time to the build. Pieces can sometimes need a bit of adjustment to make them fit but generally went together well. The quality is also reasonable. You can tell the difference but it’s not noticeable enough to put me off doing another one.

Worth it
Good build. Lights are well hidden and design is nice. Not as sturdy as lego but still stable enough that it won't collapse if you knock it over. Loved the little details, money well spent

Fantastic bricks
Amazing. Just can't say enough words to say how brilliant this set was. Especially for the price.Lego watch out, there are builders out there who create beautifully detailed sets like this for a fraction of what you charge. The lights are a brilliant addition, but very fiddly to arrange, but persevere, it will look fantastic when finished.

A magical nook that's worth the build!
The INSOON potion book nook is a stunningly detailed DIY project that transforms into a magical mini bookshelf insert or can be folded and displayed as a standalone book. From the moment you open the box, it’s clear this set is something special. The attention to detail is incredible, with layers of potion bottles, mystical books, and hidden corners that reward closer inspection. The included lighting kit is a standout feature—it’s easy to install and adds a moody, enchanting glow that brings the whole scene to life. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, even for beginners to model kits or book nooks, making the building process engaging rather than overwhelming.✅ Pros:- Beautiful final result with tons of magical detail- Easy-to-follow instructions for a smooth building experience- Lighting kit included, which really elevates the display- Versatile display options: works as a book nook or folded standalone piece- A rewarding build that makes for a standout shelf addition❌ Cons:- Bags are sorted by part type, not build sequence, leading to a lot of sorting and loose pieces- Some steps are fiddly, requiring patience and a steady hand🧙♂️ Final Thoughts:The INSOON potion book nook is a fantastic gift or weekend project for fans of miniatures, fantasy, or book-themed décor. While the build can be a bit tricky in spots, the end result is a magical and eye-catching display that feels worth every moment of effort. A great blend of crafting fun and visual charm.

Looks beautiful in use and on display. Building fiddly, but rewarding when done
This is a beautiful book nook that tidily slots into your bookshelf in “display mode” when not in use. The set us comprised of plastic bricks (same sized rivets as Lego so broadly compatible) and my daughter enjoyed putting it together (with help), if only to show off with pride what she had made to my partner and grandparents. The room is filled with potions and ingredients and the sheer variety of curiosities really helps feel like you’re playing in an alchemist’s mini workshop.Instructions are a little tricky and there are many (so so many) small pieces. But they are split into separate packets which makes building it in stages easier (and saves you from having to sift through 1000 pieces to find the one you need). Some of the pieces were a little stiff and didn’t clamp together properly. Whilst others were very tightly gripped (as opposed to the even consistency of Lego). The wires are an added complexity and a little fiddly to get the wired LED light bricks to the place you need them. But the end result is fantastic (and rewarding). This was a little complex for my daughter to build on her own – she’s 8 and adult help was definitely needed. Overall, I really liked this toy – the building element, the presentation/display aspect when not in use, and the imagination play when it’s in use. Win all round!

Detailed book nook
I love putting book nooks together, but this is the first one I've tried that's made of bricks. This is a great set with lots of little details and it's really enjoyable to put together (although I haven't finished yet!) There's a large, glossy instruction booklet which is generally very clear, but I did struggle to work out some of the colours initially as some of them look quite different to the actual pieces. It's compatible with Lego and looks very similar, but is much cheaper than a Lego set with a similar number of pieces would be.The build is divided into four sections, with several labelled plastic bags for each section. This saves you from having to open all the bags at once, but the bags for each section are organised by piece rather than build order, so you will still need to open all of these. A fantastic kit for both fans of book nooks and brick building sets.
